“Worry implies that we don’t quite trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what is happening in our lives.”         -Francis Chan

Isn’t that a great quote? Often times we feel that way, like no God. You can’t take care of the things that are going on in my life. Philippians Chapter 4 verse 6 says to “not be anxious about anything” How often do you worry? I know that I worry a lot. I worry about dumb stuff…you know what I’m talking about too! Things like…”When is the new iPhone coming out?! I mean the $200 phone that I currently have that’s only a year old SUCKS!”

How crazy does that sound…a brand new iPhone that I really want but in reality I don’t truly need. Is there anything wrong about wanting something cool and new? Absolutely not…but these types of things seem to take over our minds…to the point that we start stressing out over the smallest things. That’s what I’m trying to get at…the point where you’ll do anything to get what you want. When was the last time that you worried so much about something that worrying alone is what solved the problem? Yeah, I haven’t worried to the point that worrying fixed the problem.

Worrying in reality accomplishes nothing…it just stresses us out. Take a moment and be thankful for what you already do have. Ask yourself the question “Am I making the best of what has already been given to me?” These are the types of questions that will change your life.
